The Arctic Marine Engineering Geological Expeditions (AMIGE, Murmansk, a subsidiary of the the state-owned holding Rosgeologiya) is finalizing the preparations its fleet for the summer field season of 2019. The peculiarity of these preparations is the large-scale maintenance of the unique geological and engineering drilling vessel 'Bavenite” in Tallin (Estonia).

The vessel of ARC-4 ice-class is one of the most technically equipped engineering and geological vessels in the world, it was built in 1986 in Finland. It is capable to drill and conduct geotechnical surveys in engineering and geological wells of up to 500 m depth with the water depth up to 1000 m, take samples of the bottom soils at the sea depth up to 500 meters.

In addition, the company is in charge of management of the maintenance activities performed by subcontractors Kern and Kimberlite in the framework of the vessel annual survey inspection by PMPC. The activities have been initiated to mobilize the ships for the field season in the Arctic.

The research vessel “Kern” is a multi-functional ship intended for performance of a set of activities, equipped with a full set of equipment for performance of seismic-acoustic profiling, lateral hydraulic scanning, multi-beam echo sounding, magnetometry, soil sampling and hydrometeorological research.

The research vessel “Kimberlit“ is intended for drilling of engineering and geological wells and performing of geotechnical works.

In the second quarter AMIGE is going to sign the contracts for performance of engineering and geological research with foreign companies, as well as with the Russian largest subsoil users. The work is to be carried out from all three vessels of the company.

RosGeo is a Russian multi-disciplinary geological holding that carries out a full range of services related to geological exploration: from regional surveys to parametric drilling and monitoring of subsoil conditions. The holding company boasts a unique expertise, particularly in marine geology and shelf operations.

RosGeo was established following the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of July 15, 2011, No. 957 on the basis of Tsentrgeologiya, an oldest Russian geological enterprise. Rosgeo is a fully state-owned company.

The enterprises within the Holding company operate in all eight Federal Districts of Russia. A total of more than 1000 fields and deposits have been discovered by the holding’s companies, including major hydrocarbon and solid mineral deposits and fields.

Arctic Marine Engineering and Geological Expeditions is a company intended for integrated surveys in the Arctic shelf, adjacent lands and islands, as well as other seas of Russia and foreign countries. AMIGE fleet consists of 3 modern specialized vessels, two of which are designed for geotechnical drilling and operations, the third - for geophysical research. In addition, the company has boats for engineering surveys in the shallow waters.
