Sergei Gorkov awarded the geologists of the North-West with departmental awards in honor of the Day of geologist

Sergey Gorkov, General Director - Chairman of Board of RosGeo in the framework of his working visit to St. Petersburg took part in the celebration event dedicated to the Day of Geologist. The teams from RosGeo companies located in the North-West Federal District collected In the hall of St. Petersburg Mining University.

Sergey Gorkov told about the plans for further development of the holding, and also thanked the geologists for their daily work, great personal contribution to the development of the mineral and raw materials base of Russia and presented departmental and corporate awards.

The new managing director of JSC Polar Marine Exploration Expedition was introduced at the event. This is Dmitry Kaminsky, previously he held the position of the company director for production. Vladimir Kryukov leaves the company in connection with his retirement – this year the top manager will celebrate the 80-year anniversary and 60-year anniversary of his work in geology.

“Vladimir Kryukov made an invaluable contribution to the development of the industry and growth of the base of mineral resources in our country. It is no exaggeration to say that the achievements of our country in surveys of Arctic, depths of seas and oceans, Arctic shelf and subglacial lakes of Antarctica, discoveries of mineral deposits, manage to take place thanks to such people, - Sergey Gorkov said. - Vladimir Kryukov sets a high standard for the profession of geologist. I am sure that his successor, as well as the entire team of the company, will be guided by the experience and achievements of Vladimir Kryukov. I wish good luck in further activities for development of the resource potential in our country".
